Special edition of Jackie's Journal...Trip to Knoxville!

I'm sorry that I am not more faithful in writing this Journal. Unfortunately it takes me a long time to form a new habit. I've got it in my mind every day but to actually sit down and write will take some getting used to.

I am a big fan of Paul McCartney's, he being one of my top favorite musicians.  A few months ago I heard that he was cumming to the states. So I started to ask around if anyone would be interested in taking me.  P- was! What a trip it was!

The concert was to be in Knoxville, Tennessee. We left on 28th of May. We had a very pleasant drive. I shared the driving, driving straight for seven hours: the longest I've ever accomplished.

On the 29th we were lucky enough to stop at the Jack Daniels distillery, a place I've wanted to go for years, being a fan. We enjoyed an informative tour with a fun guide. We were able to sample five of Jack Daniels products. We also checked out Opry Mills, a mall in Nashville, where we found a store that sells Smiths Creek moonshine. They have 12 flavors! P- purchased three of them for me, and several for himself.

In Knoxville we stayed at the Drury Inn, very comfortable accommodations with a nice breakfast bar, a happy hour, and dinner included.

Then the concert, the highlight of the trip! Sir Paul McCartney appeals to both women and men. I think there are thousands of women who are infatuated with him as I am! Sir Paul knows his audience loves him and he poured himself out for almost 3 hours of intense music without a break. Impressive at 80 years old!  Hey Jude, Live and Let Die, Can't Buy Me Love, Helter Skelter, Let Me Roll It, Cum On To Me were some of my favorites. He sang a very touching song about John Lennon and through a recorded video of John singing I've Got a Feeling, he virtually sang the song with him.

I felt truly honored and blessed to be there, and I will always be grateful to P- for taking me.
